I made some progress today. It appears that my difficulty with the prop control cable can be solved by using a smaller diameter, and thus more flexible cable. I had a left over section of this and tried it out. It was not long enough to use but was long enough to get through the firewall and prove the idea. New cable is on order.
I continued to work with the baffles. The hole for the oil cooler was cut in the rear baffle, and the oil cooler mount was deburred, countersunk and riveted to the rear baffle.
The cylinder baffles were fitted to their respective cylinders, with smoe filing required to make a perfect fit.
The plenum was trial fitted and at this point I am confident it wil all work together.
