I has a discouraging day today. I worked quite a few hours with the baffling. I remade the left rear baffle as I discovered I had mis-read the pateern and had not cut it properly. So a new one was cut from sheet and then when I bent the angle on the brake I cracket the part. I stop drilled the crack and decided to continue, but got frustrated when things were not fitting together as they should. These are complicated parts and maybe I am just not up to making them from scratch. I does look like the Van's precut baffle parts will rork with the James Plenum, so I may go that route. In the meantime all baffling was removed from the engine and set aside.
I moved on to some other items to see if I could get something accomplished.
The ground strap was installed between the engine and firewall.
Drilled for nutplates, deburred and dimpled and set nutplates for E/I MAP sensor. Sensor mounted. MAP sensor tubing fitting installed in induction port. Dynon MAP sensor installed on engine mount.
Alternator field wire was run and connected to Vertical Power VP-X unit.
