The first order of the day was to remove the lower cowling from the Decathlon so I could remove the dead starter. This all went well, I got the model number and a replacement lightweight starter is on order.
Next I wired in a switch for the electronic ignition manifold pressure sensor. The manufacturere suggests this for possible future diagnostics. The switch was installed out of the way on the sub-panel.
Then I resumed work on the Christen oil system hoses. This seemed and impossible task but by the time I finished the second end of the fourth hose I think I finaaly figured it out. All four hoses are complete and I brought them home for a good cleaning before they are installed. They do look good!!
