Brief Description:  Wheel/Intersection fairings

Using the oscillating tool with a sanding foot I sanded the layups made yesterday between the intersection and wheel fairing sections. This tool really did the trick and I was able to sand the joints down to a very smooth transition. It took several hours of sanding but I am pleased with the result.

After sanding the parts were wiped down and then I used micro filler to fill in any pockets or gaps.

While this cured in the Toyota curing oven I drilled to lower ermpennage fairings to the fuselage below the horizontal stabilizer.

Holes that had been filled during from the lay-up were drilled out and countersunk.

Once the filler had cured I taped off the front section edge and mated it with its rear section and clecoed these together. Another batch of micro was mixed to fill any gaps between the sections at the lap joint.
