The elevator tips were trimmed and fitted to the elevator ends. Holes were match drilled, the the holes in the elevator skins were dimpled and in the tips were countersunk. The tips were then riveted to the elevator ends using the specified pull rivets. Epoxy was also used where the trip contacted the counterweight.
The tip for the right horizontal stabilizer was marked for cutting and trimmed and fitted. Rivet hole placement was marked on the HS skin and drilled. Holes were match drilled to the tip.
