After verifying the alignment of the canopy frame several more times I drilled the side tracks to the fuselage cabin deck. Next the read guide was drilled in 2 locations to the fuselage, then the threaded rod was fitted to secure the end of the guide to a bulkhead.
I removed the understructure of the forward deck and resumed work on the fuel pump mounts. The fuel pump arrived this past weekend so I had a template to drill mounting holes with. The center cover was removed and marked and then the pump location was marked and drilled to the cover and mounts. The mounts were then drilled for platenuts both for the pump and for attachment to the floor stiffeners. Holes were deburred and dimpled and the mounts were alodined. Next the platenuts were riveted.
Unsing the Andair plans the center cover and fuel selector cover were modified as needed.
I began fabricating the fuel pump cover top. This is a discontinued item from Van's so I used the side covers to get measurments and laid it out on some extra .025" allclad sheet that was left over from the wing walk doublers. After layout the cover was drilled and cut and forming bends started.
