Brief Description: Longerons for left side, forward bulkhead, gear we
With speedy ervice from Van's and the US Postal Service, the replacement parts I ordered last Thursday were delivered in Monday's mail. Very impressive for a cross country trip.
My first order of business was to alodine the brake pedals I fabricated yesterday. After that I began working with the new parts and properly cut the left lower longeron this time, then trimmed as required and fitted it to the forward fuselage. Bolt holes were drilled and the longeron was bolted to the firewall weldment. The F-684 gusset was then fitted and then longeron and gusset were match drilled to the side skins.
The forward bulkhead was fluted and seamed and fitted to the side skin. The attach angles for the forward skin stiffeners were drilled to the stiffeners. The F-796B reinforcement angle was drilled to the skins and longerons and the spacers were drilled to both. The grear attach web was fitted and driolled to the skins.
Floor stiffeners were prepared by drawing a line down the center of the angle where it attaches to the bottom skin.
