Today work began in earnes on the 705 bulhead. This is the bulkhead right at the back of the seats and forms the shape for the cockpit. Many of the parts for this component are fabricated fram raw angle, bar or sheet stock, so that slows things a bit. All components were fabricated and drilled to their appropriate mates. This required considerable clamping, clecoing, unclamping and reclamping along the way. The top of this bulkhead also has several parts that form the seat back adjustment. By day's end all parts had been drilled and match drilled. Most have been deburred.
An interesting fabrication requirement was bending a 4 degree angle in two16 inch strips. I accomplished this easier than expected by clamping the stip at the bend line in my Workmate stand, then used my hand seamer to bend the slight angle.
