Brief Description:  Dimple skins, mount aileron and flap

Busy day at the shop today. First I dimpled the last of four bottom skins for the wings. Then I began work on the right wing. First I drilled the aileron brackets to the spar, deburred holes and then riveted these brackets to the spar. Next I clecoed the aileron gap fairing to the spar and front skin and match drilled them. The faring was removed, deburred and dimpled where it meets the skin. The faring was then riveted to the spar and skin. Then I installed the right aileron. Once installed I got the pushrod adjusted to the proper length after installing a sight gage made from a board and aluminum angle. Once the aileron was set I clecoed the flap brace to the spar and reinstalled the bottom skins so they could be clecoed to the brace. The flap was then postitioned and clamped to the brace using clamp clecos. Being very careful to match the trailing edges of the aileron and flap I drilled the first hole through the skin and brace and through the flap hinge. Then I moved to the opposite end, aligned the flap and drilled the hinge hole. Next I drilled the remaining holes for the flap hinge. Once done drilling I removed the flap and brace and deburred the brace and removed the hinge pin so I can cleco the hinge to the brace during the countersinking of the brace.

The other project for the day was to do the preliminary install on the autopilot servo in the right wing. I mounted the servo to the brackets and fit it to the wing, then brought it and the wires home and applied end connectors to the servo and the wire harness that will go in the ing.
