Brief Description: Completed left flap and pushrods
I completed the left flap by riveting the inboard and outbord ribs to the skins, then set the spar in place and riveted it to the rib flanges using pull rivets. Next the top skin was riveted to the spar, and then the bottom skin, spar and hinge were riveted. A few pull rivetes at the trailing edge on the outbord ribs and the flap is complete.
Next I completed the aileron pushrods. The end fittings were assembled into the pushrod tubs and drilled for rivets. This was fairly easy drilling on the larger aluminum tube but was very difficult on the smaller powder coat steel tube with steel end fittings. Once drilled the end fittings were riveted to the tubes. The larger tubes use pull rivets and the smaller steel tube sues standard rivets. I brought the larger pushrods home for priming.
