Brief Description: Rivet left leading edge ribs to spar
Completed riveting of the leading edge ribs to the spar. This was a difficult task to accomplish driving the rivets through the rib flange and down through the spar. It required that the rivet gun be inside the leading edge assembly. I was able to work my arms through the various lightening holes and access plate hole to position, hold and activate the rivet gun while newly-trained helper in most cases I could not see the rivet head from any angle and had to position the rivet set on the rivet by feel and then confirm placement with an inspection mirror. Skip held the bucking bar underneath the spar. 2 hours to set 15 rivets, but they all turned out perfect or nearly so and I am very well pleased with the result!
