Brief Description: Countersink spars, fabricate tie downs
Countersunk all platenut holes in the right spar; 60 for the tank attach holes and 12 for the 3 access plates. Treated all countersinks with alodine to protect the raw aluminum from corrosion. Began the fabrication of the tie downs. W-726 spacers were laid out on AEX stock, the lightening holes cut using a drill and then a step drill in a drill press, then cut to length on the band saw. The tie downs were drilled with one location hole as specified. The tie downs and spacers were then clamped to the spar and match drilled to the holes in the spar. I completed this for the left wing only tonight. Each of the peices was carefully marked so I could figure out what goes where in assembly.
