Tonight I got the left elevator skin riveted on, after replacing a couple of rivets in the skeleton I was not happy with. Drilling out the rivets left an elongated hole so I added backing plates to both sides to assure a secure attachment. After completing the rivets on the skin I marked the trim tab cover with locations for the servo attachment brackets and drilled them to the cover. The plans were not clear on exact placement but it looks like I got everything placed properly. Next session I will dimple, deburr and rivet these parts and then will start on the trim tab.
