Brief Description: Prepare rudder skins, rivet skeleton base
Riveted the lower portion of the rudder spar. This area has a lot going on with the sapr, lower rib, a shim and the rudder horn All rivets set perfectly, some with the squeezer and some with rivet gun and bucking bar. Then the rudder brace was riveted on. Next I deburred the edges of the skins and dimpled for rivets. I also prepared an aluminum angle by match drilling to the skin to help krrp the trasiling edge straight during construction. Finally I countersunl both sides of the trailing edge strip. The #10 dimple die I ordered from Cleaveland Tool arrived today, which I need to dimple the counterweight rib. So my next trip to the hangar I will be ready to rivet the rudder together.
