Brief Description:  More Wiring

Over the 4 day Memorial Day weekend, I put in 20+ hours working on fuselage wiring. I researched and drafted the pilot and co-pilot control stick switch wiring. Installed bus bars under the pilot and co-pilot seats to organize this wiring and ran the switch wires through the wing spar holes and foreward fuselage conduits, up and into the space behind the firewall. Then, I crimped switch and power pins onto all of the wiring I have run to date and inserted them into the correct sockets on the VP-X connector. With the exception of the aileron trim and the flap position sensor which were already sealed at the effector ends, I checked continuity on every wire after inserting it into the VP-X connector.

With the exception of the COM radio and Intercom wiring harness that I have special ordered from Aircraft Spruce, I think I have completed all of the wiring that runs aft of the instrument panel.

I also spent a little time updating my EAA Solidworks and getting the Van's CAD models for the instrument panel and foreward fuselage. I will use this tool to layout my instrument panel. I also ordered a 24-connection grounding block.
