Brief Description:  Canopy bow fiberglass molding

This work actually occurred over the past 2 weeks and probably took a bit more than 10 hours. I laid up the fiberglass-epoxy molding to make the transition between the tip-up canopy skin and the base of the canopy bow. I followed the process description in the manual (which was written for a slider). It worked all right, but the initial layup was too narrow and the transition too thick. I pulled the double layer vinyl tape and laid down a single layer and then feathered in additional filler. Sand, rinse, repeat...and then topped with 2 coats of plain epoxy. It looks good on the canopy side. A bit too thick on the fuselage side, but I'll feather that in completely when it's time to paint.
