Brief Description:  Leak Test Fuel Tanks

Performed leak tests on both tanks using manometer set-up. Right tank leaks were found at BNC connector and around T-411 access plate on root rib. Also, a pinhole leak was found on the R2 Z-bracket, outboard lower corner. Due to access problems, I filled this leak w/ Loctite 290. Left Tank leaks were found along the root rib's bracket-to-baffle-to-rib flange joint and again around the T-411 access plate. The former leak was expected as this was the edge that I had forgotten to seal prior to emplacing the baffle. In both tanks, the leaks around the T-411 access plates were not expected. I had sealed the cork gasket-rib interface and all of the screws holding the T-411 on, but the leaks appeared to be coming from areas between the cork and the rib, regardless. I removed the access plates from both tanks and thoroughly cleaned them and the screws w/ MEK. I re-applied ProSeal to the leaking BNC (right tank), the baffle to root-rib flange and all along the inner part of the access hole stiffener ring. Replaced the T-411's, ensuring the screw threads were again coated in ProSeal and then placed a new fillet of ProSeal along the T-411/gasket/rib joint. I will let this cure for a week and then re-test the tanks.
