Drilled WD-605-1 to match VA-146 Hinge bearing. Found that best way to align was to coat end of bushing w/ paint to get exact hole location. Then pilot hole was drilled and elevator assembly removed. Pilot hole was off-center slightly, so reamed w/ drill bit until centered. Finally, drilled out progressively to 1/4". Also, finished edge prep on all areas of HS that were trimmed. Remounted elevators and checked alignment and travel. No binding noticed along hinge line and travel exceeds minimums listed in Section 15. Empennage is officially complete, w/ exception of fiberglass tips, which will be done along with the wingtips.
