Brief Description:  Primed VS parts

Cleaned, etched and primed VS ribs and stiffener. This second attempt at priming went much better than the first. I bought a 4'x8' pegboard that I leaned against the garage door with a 10'x17' plastic sheet behind and around it for overspray. Used pegs to mount the parts to the board. Biggest improvement was understanding how to use the gun. The directions were wrong regarding adjusting the paint flow rate. Basically, full CW closes the needle valve, such that to get a low flow rate you barely crack the valve CCW. Was able to dramatically reduce the amount of paint used, but even so still had drips on the parts...need more practice. Also, need to get some paint filters as at least once, particulates clogged the needle valve and I had to clear it by spraying at high flow rates onto the plastic back drop... Climbing the learning curve!
