Brief Description: Preparing the aileron pushrod hole
The plan revision instructs to cut out a template from the plans in order to make the aileron pushrod hole into the doubler plate. Instead, I’ve marked two holes summarily and drilled out the holes using a step drill. Although I made a little mistake on the left doubler (see picture 1) by over enlarging the bottom hole, it didn’t turned out that bad once the holes were grinded to fit together with the aft wing spar.
Instead of a Dremmel tool, I’ve used a ¼ inch pneumatic grinder fitted with a stone bit. The problem with that kind of bit is that the surface gets clogged very quickly with aluminum chips. This deburring tool (the orange handle) is perfect to restore its surface.
