Brief Description:  Back to the shop

I haven't touched my wing kit since last year. I know, it's been almost a year...

Firstly, I was busy with flight instruction and secondly, I was extremely busy with my business company start-up. Between now and then, I have received the empennage/tail cone kit from Vans in late November. That makes for A LOT OF PARTS.! I didn’t had time to make the part inventory but never mind. If something is missing I’ll order it. That’s it. Anyway, I’ve ordered parts from Van’s before and so far, they rarely throw in an empty bag.

It took me at least 2 to 3 hours yesterday just to figure out where the project was standing since last time I worked on it. Frankly, I was completely lost. It reminds me of an article I’ve read few months ago about resuming construction after an extended interruption. Better think twice before drilling out a hole. !!!

I also noticed that Van has updated the plans and they have repaginated the plans. I guess I'll have to review my own log and redo the section reference in my logs as well.

Today I have trimmed and prepare the TORQUE TUBE SUPPORT SUBASSEMBLY that fits on the inboard wing rib. Fitment is all done and ready for corrosion protection treatment (with SANCHEM system).
