Brief Description:  Gear leg spats, shroud re-fitted, ribs removed....

Came in today on a mission to have the canopy bubble fitted and ready to be cut before I go home and pretty much accomplished that.

Had 2.5 hours of no electricity again but this time I had recieved warning so I planned to continue the work on the gear leg fairings and spats. Having drawn up templates I transfered them to the raw fiberglass parts and having double checked I cut the parts accordingly. Started with the right hand side main gear then the nose wheel leg. Got as far as trimming and fitting the nosewheel fairing when the power came back which is when I continued fitting the shroud, I was not happy with the finish and result of the stiffeners because of how many times the ribs had been drilled out and patched so I elected to removed them completely and fix them or replace them at the bench whilst keeping the panel in place at the other attachment points so that I could fit the shroud properly, drill the hinges and re assemble and attach the canopy frame to the shroud onto which the bubble could be placed, marked and then cut before being final installed into the frame by glue or screws.

I got as far as marking the hinges to be drilled off the assembly and fitted the frame perfectly to the cabin which is awesome to say the least and then positioned the bubble, finalized the cut line and fit and placemement and it is now ready to be cut.
