Brief Description:  cable bracket redo,

....as per yesterday's log entry, I was quite concerned with the ergonomics and spacing of the control knob assembly and although having used the maximum space I had on the shaped part there was not enough space between the knobs, particularly the main knobs, throttle, pitch and mixture. I was by now quite sure that the owner would almost certainly find the current arrangment too tight and restricting and so I went about researching, asking other builders on the forums etc. Paid particular focus to what the standard GA type aircraft knob spacing might be, but find this a very difficult bit of information to come upon (surprising as it may be).

I eventually found not only a source for these dimensions but also a very thorough paper on installing the type of control knobs we were supplied (something I struggled with and couldn't find before). I discovered that anything from 2.5 to 3" spacing between knobs was considered standard
which reaffirmed my suspicion that I would have to redesign and redo this bracket assembly. I drew up a new template with better spacing and improved on some shortcomings I percieved in my previous experience of the bracket assembly.
