Brief Description:  Continued work on retro steps, empennage, fairings

Started with riveting of vert stab attach plate to stab spar....added 4 bolts that secured the vert stab in final place, checked alignment and final location dimensions for a perfect mount. Also riveted thetail tie down bracket in final place and secured the tie down eye-bolt for good. Removed and trimmed and re fitted (ongoing) the lower stab mount covers parts F-749A L&R.
Removed the glass empennage intersection fairing for final trim, match-drill and final fit with tinaman washers and #5 screws. Researched, designed and made up the first of two rudder cable fairings. These are crucial to a smooth and fast airplane and provide protection to the cable at the all important exit points - highly recommended, there exist a number of manufactured aftermarket parts overseas but also a few builder-designed types with details for fabrication and installation...having researched the options I elected to design these myself and belive I have fabricated a superior part that will be easy to install (tomorrow's job) and looks really good. These work in conjunction with the stock adel clamp installation to secure the cables. started with the horn shape design tp start shaping the horns tomorrow as well as the matching rudder stops to be fabricated and mounted in place for a final time.
