Brief Description:  lining up of aileron and flap on Right wing......

Today spent quite a bit of time trying to get the aileron specifically lined up perfectly so that the tip can be fitted and match-drilled as necessary.

My first method using a jig made from a length of angle stock as illustrated in the build manual failed to secure the aileron sufficiently as to secure it to the aileron would mean damaging the final coat pf white.

I devised a similar method using a wooden jig made up to be fixed (with screws) to the wing 'cradle/trolley' in which the wing was sitting. The supported and braced upright was measured ad-nuaseum to secure perfect 90deg upright in relation to the wing - not the cradle or floor! Once secured and fixed a cross piece - a long aluminium straight edge is fitted perpendicular and the airleron clamped (carefully) in position to correspond. With the aileron and flap trailing edges lined up and secured so not to move I can confidently fit and match drill the tip.

Had the tip clamped/taped in place and marked but the aileron moved in the jig so I have to devise a way to ensure that it stays in place.
