Brief Description: finalized LW to be ready for tomorrow...wkshp work
Got in this morning with the goal of completing the rivet work on the Left Wing as described to meet the Friday deadline to go for paint. I got through most of ther remaining rivets and spent some time on the finish as described in previous post where marks and scratches were buffed out, ding and dents assessed and either prepped and 'panel-beaten' or filled. 2 rivets had to be drilled and re-set (from the early work with the mushroom head).
I was asked to make up a shelf for the study to mount the printer, essentially with what we have available in the workshop, which wasn't much. Not being one for 'slapgat woodwork' I laminated a decent shelf top and fashioned from the same material two brackets and backing plates. Assembled and glued the lot together and pre-drilled for wall plugs ready to be mounted.
Spent time readying the wing to go to paint so that after setting the last few rivets in the morning it can go.
