Brief Description: finalized and packed emp for paint, finishing of p
again some cracks appeared overnight on the empennage glassed parts I had finished so some crack filling and patching was done with sanding then final priming with 2 part in the air gun. All finalized parts were rubbed down with scothpad and scratches rubbed out and as best I could, old tape was removed but much of it remains for the professionals to remove and clean in the prep phase before paint. I just generally prepped as best I could, some covered parts were primed, some scuffed primer was cleaned then re-primed.
All finished and ready to go the parts were pack out of the way. Next and last bit of finishing and glass work to be done was the pitot head which I had previously blended into the cover/base plate and filled the gaps and holes. Some more finishing was required to get the seamless blend I wanted and some work was done on the base plate and backing. Completed this so that the pitot could now be installed.
