Removed the empennage fairing after my work on it to have it properly edged, filled, smoothed and primed by a friend - composites specialist. Despite my best efforts and many hours of work on the fairing there remains indentations, uneven surface and fibers on the edges. Removed the V stab after noticing some less than properly srt rivets in the stab spar joiner plate...being an extremely critical structure I inspected and found several rivets in need of replacing so I drilled and replaced with larger 'silly rivets' and neatened and cleaned the assembly overall - still to be primed but 100% now. Some time spent prepping the initial panel/avionics research for Willem's arrival next week.
