Brief Description: Canopy frame, panel, shroud and canopy work
Came in this mkorning determined to do some more riveting but I could not reach at all and the first 3 I tried doing cross-handed left smileys and one had to be drilled so I will be patient and carry on with what I started on Friday with the canopy work on the fuselage.
First task was to take out the unfinished canopy frame unit and complete all work on that which meant some priming and paint touch up and then the riveting of the canopy frame webs - one on the left and right each and the center - all riveted with pop rivets. I had fabricated the six web joiner plates previously but couldn't match these up to the assembled webs so made up 6 more and painted and primed them to match then riveted them in place also with pop rivets. The canopy frame assembly now complete I went to work on the frame rails and uprights to make up and assemble the full frame so that the canopy bubble can be fitted this week.
