It was further suggested, and in line with my growing concerns about what our painter can/can't..or will and won't do and what I need to do in prepping work for him, that I completely mask up all areas of the wing that I want to be kept unpainted or primed only. These included both open ends at the tip and root and the stub attachment brackets and spar stub as well as numerous misc structures sticking out and making up either the root installtions or tip attachments.
I later decided to remove completely the tank breather assemblies and mask up the tank root end as a whole. As it is now only the upper, lower, trailing and leading edges will be painted leaving the root and tip end with a natural metal and primed finish.
Closed up the last hole on the underside of the Left wing as per Friday's work - I redid this after the tape had come unstuck.
