Brief Description: Finished off the tips for good, wing skin riveting
Having added cross strips and 3rd layer cloth to the reinforcing strips and wing tip inside edges yesterday I left it to cure overnight with only a small patch here and there and some filling and a last overcoat of thickened / finishing poly resin over the entire inside structures and surfaces, I finally finished off the work on the wing tips. They can now be installed on the wings but that will have to wait for the arrival of the hinged control surfaces of the wing fromt he paint shop.
To continue work on the wings, given the dealy in installing the tips, I continued the wing skin rivet work on the last of the two wings to be buttoned up for good. I had drilled out quite a few rivets so have a lot of rivet setting to get through to finish this wing. I had hoped to finish the other wing completely then send it to paint and then continue this wing but i hasn't worked out that way and work must continue. I hope to get the electrician in before I close up the last of the rivets on the wing because I am unsure about the conduit and electrical routing.
