Today continued my finiash and prep work on the left wing, again the filler I used has set too hard (I don't know if I will ever get it right with this stuff) so extensive rubbing and sanding is required on the patch ups. That said the wing is lookgood now and the dings and 'smileys' I was so worried about are all gone.
Also took some time on the wing cradle, adjusted it for wing tip installation and secured the Right wing in the cradle having swapped and put the LW on the becnch for finishing. I will complete the riveting of the skin on the RW in the cradle and the prep and finsh of the LW on the bench then swap them again and install the wingtip on the LW in the cradle. I sought some advice on how to transport the wing by road to the paintshop and designed a suitable cradle based on our existing cradle - actually just some modification to fit on a flatbed trailer,
