Brief Description:  Wing tip lights, rudder cable fairings, gear spats

Spent time prepping the main gear wheel spat brackets for fitting as recommened we do depite onl;y fitting the spats later. Drilled the hol;es to final size and adjusted the bends to fit with our brake line routing etc. Also one of the plates required a slight trim to clear the brake line coming in to the cylinder as suggested might be necessary.

Also spent some time marking out the locations and holes for the wing tip light in the wing tips, started marking out the scre hole line for attachment to the wing tip skins too. Also match drilled and cleco'd the cable exit fairings to the fuselage exit holes but am going to ask about whether to install these inside or outside before riveting them. Installed the adel clamps to the rudder cable sheaths securing the cables in the exits.Fabricated foam templates of the spaces/shims I will need to make from plastic or wood permanently installed in the aft canopy frame to skin gaps and got good results.

Started trimming the canopy bubble with a grinder loaned to me, the lines had already been marked and it was relatively easy although nerve wrecking cutting the stuff without overheating and melting or heat damaging and slowly enough not to crack the precious bubble. Heaters were used to keep the plastic plyable and I cut in the sun. I used these trimming cuts to practice for the upcoming 'big cut' seperating the bubble from the rear glass.
