spent a lot of the day designing improved panel rib parts to be cut in .063 material and formed and fitted to replace the old ones I removed. The redesign meant that these parts would not require any additional stiffeners but would give support to the panel structure and be rigid enough to keep the panel from collapsing in impact (more so than without). Finalised and posted the design to a fellow builder and on the VAF forum to get feedback before fitting. These will be fitted slightly closer in than where the previous were.
Made up several canopy spacers from provided bar and scrap material for final fitting the canopy frame so it can be riveted and hinged in place before the bubble gets attached.
