Brief Description: Canopy frame fabrication and assmbly, shroud final
Started the day by measuring, marking up and fabricating the parts for the canopy frame back posts / sub assembly F-631A, fitted, match-drilled and assembled the assembly ready to be fitted in union with the frame.
The frame was started by finalizing the shroud assembly - installed the gussets to the inside of the frame and skin then drilling, trimming and bending the shroud to fit in place on the cockpit.
Removed, repaired and reinstalled an angle bracket for the panel mounting too which had to be done to continue the frame. Re-designed the modified panel ribs reinforcing to allow the necessary clearnace for the opening and closing canopy shroud framework as detailed in an earlier log.
