Brief Description:  RH panel rib trimmed and stiffener fabricated, map

I trimmed the right panel rib exactly as I did the left previously and re-checked the clearance by again fitting both skins and inserting the shroud frame as near to perfect as I could and was happy with the result. The trimmed cut was again quite rough because this was a difficult part to reach having been riveted in place on the sub-panel so I spent quite a bit of time getting the cut edge straight and true and neat. I had drawn a template of the stiffener bracket before fitting the final and succsessful left side part and used this to make up and exact copy, mirrored for the right. after some fitting and trimming again I had the stiffener clecoed in place on the rib.

I then match drilled the assembly for riveting and machine countersunk the bracket for the flush head rivets. I am quite pleased with the overall mod given this stiffening design and will have to consider carefully how much reinforcement the panel will really need when I get their - just before installation of the avionics units and asosciated electrical fittings and installations.

I prepped and cleaned the entire mapbox for priming since not all parts had been primed and the original parts required re-priming since having been worked in the modifiaction. I primed the box, first outside and once that had dried, the interior of the box was primed. I continued riveting the deck parts that had not yet been done, I will require a second set of hands with the balance of the riveting but should finish that this week.
