Brief Description:  Sanding down of cured tips, started repair of brak

With the final layers of cloth and resin having cured over the weekend I set about reshaping and taking the tips down to a true and square face that matched the corresponding part as before. I set up the bench sander on a table outside the workshop, put on as much covering and face/eye protection as I could bare and started machining away these tip faces. I had cast resin a little more than 1/4" thick so there was a lot to do. One by one I got the parts down but took a bit too much off on the first ones, easily corrected by another cast of resin :P
After a few hours at the machine I cleaned up and climbed into the cabin for a check, identification of troubled areas and then a repair of the internal brake system. I knew I could only go so far since the ferrules etc that I was expecting hadn't arrived yet to complete the system installation. I found severral 'leaks' in the system by pushing air through at pressure. To do so I created an 'adapter' from PTFE tubing and AN couplings to fit the external brake line unions. into this adapter fitted the nozzle of the compressor gun, I set the compressor to about 5.5 psi (not wanting to blow the unions) and increased to just over 6. At every test I found leaks and even more when I eincreased the pressure.
