Brief Description:  Installation of the boost pump in the cabin, pump

With the boost pump assembly completed I turned my attention to the pump housing components which included 5 parts, all needing trimming, shaping, priming and fitting. The first part was the selctor assembly cover which I found required trimming at it's base to fit with the pump assembly. This part also had to have a 4x4.5" square cut from it's face side to allow clearnace for the boost pump lines. Next was the exisiting floor channel cover which had previously been cut for the pump, but which required additional trimming and some reforming to accomodate the new pump assembly. Also made up and match drilled the pump cover assembly and deburred and prepped for priming. All the components were then cleco'd together and assembled with the pump in place.

The boost pump was put in place in the cabin floor according to Vans measurements for the location but adjusted slightly according to my specific installation, the base plate was then trimmed and fitted inbetween the two longerons. With the pump installed in place the housing and covers were cleco'd in place accordingly.
