Brief Description: trimming, fitting and installing the elevator tips
Trimmed, then fitted then trimmed agian, the elvator tips for perfect fit. About 4 to 5 fits were required to get the right fit and then the parts were taped and clamped in place and match-drilled with a #40, and then cleco'd in place top ajnd bottom both the left and right. Once satisfied with the fit I had to focus my attentions on the gap and fit against the already fitted stab tips. To do this each elevator half was installed and then adjusted tediously at each hinge point to get the right gap on each end, the hord to stab gap had to match at 1/8 but also the elevator control horns of bopth had to match up so that the joining bolt and pushh rod would fit! A full day of fitting and removing and measuring to get it right but finally got it as good as possible.
