Brief Description: Completed, mounted the battery box, cabin riveting
Completed and assembled the battery box assembly and then primed and painted (with engine enamel spray) all the parts, mounted to the firewall and made necessary adjustments to allow for proper fit and correct spacing, tested the battery fit and retention and am happy. In the evening I switched off the lights and used a lamp to 'light-leak' test the firewall seal, marked out the offending areas and applied more sealant or silicone to seal it up completely (this is a method recommended by fellow builders). Having assembled the Boost pump housing and covers I fixed it to the adjusted fuel selector assembly and then fitted the entire revised structure to the cabin floor, this required some trimming, filing, shaping and forming but I got a great fit witch I match-drilled to the cabin longerons and floor. Cleaned and prepped contact points and gaps for sealant but am awaiting advice on whether this is necessary and if so the extent of sealing.
