I started at 6:00 this morning in an attempt to get a lot done. Mostly, it was a wasted day. Some of the frustrations:
- I took the better part of an hour to plan the audio feed from the NavWorx to GMA. After splicing a tiny little cable, I found that Approach had already connected the wire - but it isn't on the schematic. So, I cut out the newly spliced wre. (I probably should have tied it back)
- I fiddled with BNC crimps. I had bought a new tool to cut the COAX. It works great - EXCEPT it cuts the wrong pattern. Back to the drawing board - lookng for tools. I have about 30 connections to make - so I want a good tool with 100% reliability.
I did start dressing the cable assemblies. The photo doesn't show much of the work - I added spiral lacing under the trace. So, again, it didn't feal like a productive day.
Last night, I ordered a power supply to drive the panel on the bench. I bought some ATC fuses today to use on the bench test-jig. I have to connect antennas to the radio transmitters before powering them up. And I don't have the right COAX tools.
