I’m now trying to get all of the wiring, instruments, etc, that go in the rear fuselage installed and the necessary wiring in the forward portion of the fuselage. I started with the ELT and located it within 18 in. of the rear of the fuselage. I cut a hole in the right side large enough to fit the ELT and access it for maintenance. Placed the ELT on one of the horizontal brackets and screwed down. Then I made the access plate for the opening. I still need to install the antenna, but I’ve decided to put it just forward of the “forward fin” for the vertical stabilizer.
