Assembled block on stand and worked on rings, pistons and cyclinders. Worked on the rings. Need to fill to have a .004-.005 gap with the pistons installed. This was done by putting the rings into the cylinder, checking the gap, and removing the rings to make adjustments with hand file. Then reinsert rings, check and adjust until the proper gag was achieved. Inserted valve springs in heads and checked for tolerance.
Took the two heads with out-of-alignment valve inserts to a local machine shop to see if they can be corrected. It can be done but will require new inserts. Those were ordered and be here soon.
