Brief Description: Painted Upper Firewall Flat Black
Treated upper inside firewall surface with Alodine. Then masked, primed, then painted the area visible at the forward firewall when glare shield and windshield assemblies are installed.
Flat black paint process for windshield glare reduction:
1) Clean with acid pre-wash, diluted according to instructions. 2) Treat per instructions with Alodine. 3) Prime with Rustoleum Professional oil based primer. 4) 30 minutes drying time. 5) First coat of flat black Rustoleum Professional oil based paint. 6) 30 minutes drying time. 7) Repeat steps 5 & 6 for second and third light coats of paint. 8) Let cure for 48 hours.
Masked and primed normally visible inside upper firewall area.
Painted visible area flat black.
Completed inner upper firewall area that will be visible under the windshield.
