Brief Description: Elevator Control Push Rod Linkage.
Removed (torched and brushed) powder coating from the end of the elevator push rod that will be inserted into the mating end of the elevator push rod end fitting.
With control stick fully forward against a 1/6" shim at the wing spar tunnel, and the elevator in the full down position against the down elevator stop, Elevator push rod and the end fitting were joined and the length set for full down elevator.
Drilled and clecoed pilot holes for botling the eleavot push rod to end fitting linkage. Bolted linkage union with three 90 degree opposing "tight Fit" bolts at 1" spacing.
Riveted forward and aft push rod support channels into place.
Pilot holes and clecos in the elevator push rod to push rod end fitting connection.
The elevator push rod to push rod end fitting connection with final "tight fit" bolts.
Final riveting of the elevator push rod support channels.
