Fabricated Rudder Pedal Pivot Blocks. Layed out design to plans specs. Test cut on CNC in wood to verify tightness of fit for the tube holes. Adjusted to 1.014" diameter as 1.0" was too tight and would have clamped the tubes in the holes. After determining the hole size, I cut two block sets out of black Deltin sheet stock measuring 1.02" thick. Once assembled and drilled for the bolts, I sanded one side to take the thichness down to that which would fit snuggly in the end of the tube that had the 1" channel for the block holes.
Hung the rudder pedals in the blocks and bolted each block with one bolt in the existing hole in the frame brackets. Fit looks great. Need to get a 3/16" bit for my right-angle drill head to drill the second bracket hole using the unbolted hole in each bracket as the pilot, then bolt the second block bolt to the bracket.
