Cut push rod boot from the orange RTV impregnated fabric stock to shape specified. Glued stitch seams together with orange RTV per specs. Once cured, both stitch lines will be stiched with safety wire as specified. Then with boot seam secured, further mounting can be accomplished.
Installed the nose wheel strut bearings in the nose wheel strut tube. Drilled and tapped holes through pipe wall and bearing to 10/32 NF, then cutand ground cap screw to proper length such that it is just below the inner bearing surface and cannot interfere with strut travel up and down in the tube. Cleaned parts with acetone, then applied loc-tite blue thread locker to the threads and installed the screws to cure overnight.
Glued stitch seams with oange RTV and clamped to cure overnight.
Drilled and tapped holes through tube wall and bearing for 10/32 cap screw.
Shortened cap screw to length which is just under the inner bearing surface.
