Brief Description: Fabricated SNB-L06-18 Nose Wheel Strut Fairing
Completed part number SNB-L06-18, the nosewheel strut fairing.
Cut the 0.025" 6061 T6 sheet stock to 6" x 12", and deburred the edges.
Cut hinges SNB-L06-20 and SNB-L06-21 to the appropriate 10.5" and 11.5", and buffed the end cuts.
Layed out and drilled #40 holes at the specified 1" spacing in the hinges under each lug.
Positioned hinges on the aluminum sheet and used the hinges to position and drill #40 holes in the sheet stock.
Updrilled all #40 holes to #30 holes and deburred all holes in hinges and sheet stock.
Clecoed both hinges into position on the prober side of the sheet stock, then rivetted the hinges into position with the rivet heads on the opposite side of the hinges.
Updrilling from #40 to #30 size holes.
Rivetting hinges into final position.
Completed but un-folled/rolled nosewheel strut fairing, ready to install.
