Brief Description: Fitting Nose The Gear Coverplate Assembly
Determined fit of the coverplate assembly on the installed cowling, then removed the lower cowling and clamped to the work table to begin fitting and transferring #40 holes to the cowling for cowl hinges.
Once all cowling hinge #40 holes were positioned and drilled, cowling was reinstalled and cowl hinges were clecoed into place. Coverplate assembly was then pinned into place on the fully pinned/installed lower cowling. Fit is tight and secure.
Ready to updrill to #30 holes, deburr, and rivet for completion.
