Brief Description:  3D Scanning Jabiru Right Exhaust Header

3D scanned the right side Jabiru 3300 3-To-1 exhaust header/reducer to import into Fusion 360 CAD so a 3D CAD model can be produced for 3D printing.

The plan is to produce a CAD model of the three-pipe intake portion, the reducer body, and the start of the single exhaust pipe that exits the reducer body. This will be used as the basis of the 3D printed model that will be taken to a custom exhaust shop to show them the piece they need to create for me from the exhaust pipes that were provided by Jabiru.

Once the 3D print of this basic CAD model properly fits onto the 3-pipe exhaust header of the Jabiru engine, a new single pipe exhaust section coming from the reducer single-pipe side will be designed such that it follows a safe and usable path to its exhaust tunnel in the bottom of the cowling.

Once the newly shaped single pipe is designed in CAD, it will also be 3D printed and the two parts assembled to make a complete model of what the exhaust shop needs to produce for me.

Today I produced a successful 3D scan/mesh of the right side 3-to1 reducer body.
